AB KABA Shouldered Standard Groove Folding Foil Tool — part of our Foil Impressioning Tools range, supplied wholesale to professional locksmiths, locksmith shops and security technicians.
Foil impressioning uses a thin foil or foam insert that is pressed against the pins inside a cylinder; the pins emboss their bitting pattern into the foil and a working key is produced. The foil is wrapped over the tool head, the head is inserted, and the precision pin set lifts each driver pin so it stamps a mark corresponding to true bitting depth. Foam gives a clearly readable impression while foil delivers finer detail.
The same model comes in single-row/double-row, standard/reverse groove, shouldered/flat, and gold/silver versions to distinguish keyway profiles. Folding versions pack flat; large-handle versions give a firmer grip. Foil and foam inserts are consumables and should be replaced as they wear.
Alloy-steel body (the 'large handle' variants use an aluminium handle), with heat-treated working pin sets. The foil is high-purity soft metal; the foam is a high-rebound expanded material.
Aimed at AB-series, KABA dimple, crescent, curved (three/four-groove), flat double-row and super-B grade security door cylinders, including the main Chinese door lock families (Buyang, Xinduo, Panpan, Qunsheng).
